Tools
- Anthropic releases “knowledge work” plugins the market explodes? I am skeptical on these being anything more than nice-to-haves for lean startups. Some testing has amusing results
Reading, Writing & Ideas
- Karpathy on the return of RSS feeds. I may write about this further, I think the current state of the internet is so bad the only option is to return to web 1.0 in whatever ways we can. Part of the reason I created my site!
- The king ordered it! I just finished Mad Men and concidentally finished reading How the Scots Invented the Modern World, great show, great book.
- Funny read on ‘optimizer’ culture. The optimizers seem to be dominating online discourse, the satisficers are busy enjoying life.
AI Stuff
- Great essay on pitfalls of using agentic coding tools for non-technical users. Software shaped problems and the need to develop parkour vision is a great analogy.
- A social network for agents? I am suddenly a lot less bullish on agents interacting in a meaningful way with the world after reading through dozens of posts on here.
- Economist article on being proactive about AI in the workspace. A little alarmist but I agree that with the “jagged frontier” the best thing you can do right now is be curious and find out for yourself what works.
- Ben Tossell’s amazing writeup on how to build with agents.
